Mark Millar has been playing the guitar for a long time. Influenced by the likes of Mark Knopfler, JJ Cale and a myriad of old blues CDs, he learned his trade the hard way - years spent gigging with a number of UK-based bands. Eventually Mark retreated to the safety of the studio, recording for other artists and doing bits and pieces of his own songs but never quite finishing them, until finally, in 2019, he decided the world was ready...

2019's 'On the Journey' was Mark's first solo album and took the form of a collection of those old songs, finally finished and coaxed into the light. Since then, Mark has released a steady flow of new tracks and a quiet start with only a few friends as listeners has slowly evolved into a steady following of thousands. The gates are open and he's having fun! His songs are about real life - the good and the bad. Sometimes they err on the side of melancholy, but it's not too long before another song comes along that gives us a glimmer of hope, pointing us gently to where that hope might be found. The release of Mark's second album 'Take Me to the River' brought to an end to a very weird 2020 and opened 2021. One thing's for sure in these strange times - there is plenty more music to come...
